Description: I acquired this in Germany in the mid-1960's although I cannot attribute this to to a particular mint but I highly suspect it was struck by the German Federal mint (D) in Munich. There appears to be a series of these pure silver pieces but they must have had a really low mintage because you do not see these come up for sale very often.

Description: The 'D' Munich issue of the short lived 2 Mark series during the early Federal Republic. I reversed the photos here. There were 19.564 M were struck for this design, which was only struck in 1951, and at all mints.
