1-05: If my attribution is correct this is an issue of Western Wei and the Emperor Wen in 581. Obverse: 'Sui Wu Zhu' with hour glass shaped 'wu' and inner rim only by 'wu'. Emperor Wen forbade the circulation of older coins under penalty of a fine. 1000 on a string weighed 4 jin 2 liang. A sub-type called a White Coin [Bai Qian] contained lead and tin in alloy. Hartill # 10.26.
