Here's another, and better example of a lead Tai Ping Rebellion 'coin'. It is listed in Ma & Ma "Encylopedia of Tai Ping Rebellion Money" as TY# 60, which says it a Fake. This places this piece, and the other example I have, in an "other" category, which is, in fact, counterfeit. Don't ask me how a lead counterfeit is supposed to pass as a brass coin. It's still interesting, don't you think?
