Marianne in liberty cap over Freemason triangle with fasces bundle and RF. Silvered octagonal white metal 42 mm across. A RARE type! My translation of the obverse legend is "Universal Republic of the People's Union of Solidarity"; that sounds a bit odd, so does anyone want to post a better one? The reverse translation is "Risk Everything for All Humanity". Any information or referenced attribution would be greatly appreciated.
I've come up with a reference "Numismatic Souvenirs of the 1848 French Revolution". A crude translation of their note on this medal is:
"Medallion of tin cast in commemoration of the unfortunate expedition of Belgian democratic and social republicans. Nobody has lost the memory of the Risquons-Tout scuffle and the sad impression left in the minds of the bounétes gens the party taken by some men who should have taken care of anything else than to revolutionize a neighboring and friendly nation."
