Fairly common but RARE in RED Unc! This was a British Protectorate on islands in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Tanganyika. It comprised a portion of British East Africa. You've got to love the double pan balance scales (with date between). The translation of the obverse Arabic (photo is reversed) is: "Sultan Said ibn Bargash ibn / Sultan" with "Allah guard him" above and below. The rulers name is incorrect; Bargash was the son of Sayyid Said and not vice-versa. This mistake is unique among coins of comparatively modern times (Freeman Grenville).

That's a very nice Zanzibari AH1299 (1882) 1 Pysa coin.
Coins with lustre never turn up over here at all.
