This one year type, along with 2, 5 & 50 Lire pieces, celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Kingdom of Italy and unification. Obverse shows the portrait of the King of Italy Vittorio Emanuele III. Reverse, are two standing figures: the female represents Italy and the male Rome. Italy has her left hand on a plow adorned with ears and fruits. Behind the figures there is a giant war ship. Design by Italian designer D. Trentacoste and Luigi Giorgi INC., 2 M. struck.
The ANA's "Numismatist" for Oct 2020 (p.39) has a nice little feature on the coins of Vittorio Emanuele III at this: [ link ]
