This brief Kingdom was set up by Napoleon, the Emperor of France, for his brother Jerome (Hieronymus) to rule. It was conquered territory comprised of land from at least 7 German states. Between 1813 - 14 this 'Kingdom' was divided and returned to the former owner states. This series of coins was minted on the French standard and was part of the French Revolutionary War conquests.
