Good For 12 1/2 c - DRINK - AT GEM BAR N.Q. ; Rx: GOOD FOR A SMILE. This was a Saloon during at least 1912 - 1913 in the S.E. Arizona Territory. Ghost town today. This token is a Rarity 9 (3 - 6 known).
Dos Cabezas had a Post Office established in April 1879, by the mid 1880's the town had a population of about 300 people. Industry was based on a gold & silver mine and the town had 3 stamp mills, a brewery, school, general store and a barber shop. The area was first developed by two brothers named Casey who discovered the mineral deposit. Mine investors from Tombstone eventually bought them out for $40k.
