This iron example has survived well in its natural tone, without much rust and never cleaned. Value 10 (pfennig, unstated) "Furs Vaterland" stands for 'For the Fatherland.' Here the narrative scene features a female factory worker in a munitions plant. She's managing some heavy-weight cannon shells with large, strong hands. Frankenthal is in the Pfalz, near the Rhine River.
