This bold coin is the highest denomination coin of the short lived (coins for 1953 - 1955) Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia. It features only the industrial element often found in socialist country symbols and icons. Marshal Broz Tito lead a revolution to abolish the monarchy and eventually led to this republic which was soon replaced by the Socialist Federal Republic. There was a gap of 10 years between this coin and the first coin struck for the SFR in 1965.
