T. P. Collection. Stone carved imitation cowries are rather common, however, here the maker incorporated the interior elements of a natural shell by drilling out two cavities while retaining the teeth and mouth structure on the flipside. This is 20.5 x 15.3 mm at 2.9 g. The T. P. Collection also has examples with four cavities carved out.
