Bust of Sun Yat-sen in commemoration of the Birth of the Republic of China. While this is a common variety one should note the scarce type of Y318 & Y318 with stars rather than rosettes dividing the reverse top legend. Varieties exist with errors in the English legends. The Canton mint restruck these in 1949 and there are modern restrikes made of copper & brass. KM refers to incuse reeding vs. relief reeding; my best quess is that one is sharp to the feel and the other is a type of reeding with 'flat' tops that feel rather smooth in comparison.
