Guangxu trial strike ?

Sold to me as a trial strike of Guangxu (1875 - 1908). If this is an authentic example then it's particularly unusual because of the size. It is larger than the 'normal' range of one cash milled pieces. The reverse is blank so there is no indication of a provincial mint, and it's oddly struck with no indication of an engraved reverse die. The obverse shows faint circular grooves in the fields. Diameter is 27 mm and the weight is 3.03 grams.
