Hungarian War of Independence from Austria. Brown with a hint of red, this example of the one Krajczar (Egy) of 1848, is virtually uncirculated. Mintages for this entire series are unlisted in the texts I have, any help would be appreciated. These are available so the mintage was probably substantial. In KM under the Harom Krajczar they mention varieties overstruck w/ a figure of Madonna. While not noted for the Egy K. this one clearly shows the outline of a crown & shield on the reverse, similar to the one on the obverse. I believe this is called a 'struck through' error. Also, this one does not have a mintmark of 'NB' so it is the much more common one from Kremnitz.
