The kingdom of Napoleon in Italy issued coins with a depiction of Napoleon from 1807 to 1814. The 5 Soldi was first issued in 1808 and this first issue came in two types. This is the much more common type with incuse stars on the edge, raised stars are scarce. All of the coins were minted in Milan, Venice or Bologna.
