This is another example of the Yuan Shi-Kai Dollar that was struck by the Red Army to be used in Nationalist controlled areas to buy goods. This YSK is modeled after Year 3 (1914) but was struck ca. 1931. The other example in the Moneta Museum is modeled on a 1921 YSK $. The rare examples shown here are very different.
This example had to be 'borrowed' from Stack's & Bowers Hong Kong auction of August 2011; Lot# 60758.
