While this doesn't feature a portrait of Hitler it is similar to the Opferpfennige and Spende pieces shown in this Museum because there is a denomination. In this case a 1 Schilling donation remembrance for the hard winter campaign of 1936. Features a touching and artististic representation of a family bundled against the winter cold. These were used to raise contributions for the poor during the coming winter.
OB: "GEDENK ETIHRER WINTERHILFE 1936/7" = REMEMBRANCE OF YOUR WINTER HELP 1936/ JUL(?)
Rx: "DIE KAMERADSCHAFT UBERWINDET DIE NOT" = COMRADESHIP OVERCOMES THE EMERGENCY
For students & researchers: I can provide a digital .pdf copy of the only article that covers Anschluss propaganda issues by the NAZI 3rd Reich of Germany. Like the book above it's by Colbert & Hyder and appeared in the Feb 1975 issue of "The Numismatist." It's file size is too big to post here but I will email it upon request. Email: moneta@moneta-coins.com
