China Peoples Republic. This coin depicting ancient Chinese coin production using bronze is part of a short series in Science & Technology. Listed as the earliest of the silver 3 Yuan series coins. Interesting and scarce at only 23k minted.
The coin shows 3 stages of production including ore recovery, smelting, and pouring into moulds. Coins depicted are the bronze cowrie imitation, knife, shirt and ban liang.
