One specialty in the Roman coin series is "Rome and Germany", coins that usually commemorate the nearly continuous battles that Rome had with "barbarians" and the subsequent peace. Probus issued a number of these, several of which you can see here in the Moneta Coin Museum.
Probus (276 - 282 A.D.); IMP C PROBUS AVG. Reverse: a large victory trophy flanked by two captives, VICTORIA GERM around with SPQR in exergue. This example retains most of the silvering. Here the photo is poor, in hand a much better coin, still XF. This was struck c. 278 AD. VM# 52/1, Sear 3275, C.766, RIC 223.
