Part of the huge issue of DDR commemorative coinage spanning 5 - 20 Marks, this one celebrates the 150th Anniversary of the birth of Friedrich Engles. He, with Karl Marx, were responsible for the "Communist Manifesto." You'll see the Marx issue here as well. Their economic model, for the countries that have tried it, has been a failure. Both coins have an issue of 100,000 each.
