Tartar - Jurched People, Jin Dynasty (1115 - 1234 A.D.) King Hai Ling [aka: Emperor Wan Yan Liang]; 1149 - 1161 A.D. Ob: Zheng Long Yuan Bao (cw) w/ regular 4 stroke ' Zheng'; cast 1158 - 1161 A.D. The Jurched people were the ancestors of the Manchu, later to reach prominence in all of China. 25 mm in XF condition. FD 1637; S 1083; Hartill # 1840.

Zhenglong (3rd era of Wanyan Liang, 1156-1161) / Original currency
Since the proclamation of Great Jin in 1115, coins of the Song and Liao dynasties were used in circulation. It was only in 1158 when the first Great Jin coins were cast.
