Scarce coin and the first issue of Communist Vietnam under Ho Chi Minh. This independent country was not proclaimed until Sept. 2, 1945 - giving little time to issue these.
Rarely found in better condition. The edge has a channel running the circumference (like many of this series), reeding is present but spotty in places. Beware those that have been cleaned to remove AL corrosion.
